Job Description

Job Title: IT Delivery Manager

Working Pattern: Full-time

Working location: Indianapolis, IN

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Delivery Manager to join the Engineering IT Solutions team to lead the delivery of IT solutions for the Rolls-Royce Engineering community.  The Engineering IT Solutions team is responsible for the global deployment and support of engineering IT applications.

Although this role is in the US, it is a global role and will support global IT programs in the long term.  Initial focus of this role is leading the delivery of IT solutions to enable CMMC Level 2 certification required by Rolls-Royce US Defense Programs.  This role requires skills in managing people, programs of work and influencing project scope, requirements, and leadership decisions to ensure the IT programs successfully deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.  The ideal candidate will be a proven leader that has knowledge of Rolls-Royce Engineering processes and tools and exposure to capability development.

What you will be doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Lead a global team of subject matter experts and project managers providing program management, governance and stakeholder management leadership in the delivery of IT solutions.
  • Facilitate conversations and commitments with Civil and Defence leadership to ensure business readiness and capability delivery to agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Drive new ways of working within the team to ensure team, vendor, and delivery performance is continuously improved.
  • Develop, lead and manage a high performing team consisting of managers and specialized professionals to deliver complex solutions meeting business requirements.
  • Manage total cost to ensure spend is optimized for both the delivery and support of solutions.
  • Manage the supply chain to ensure on time delivery to quality and cost.
  • Lead the Engineering IT Solutions team from a North America perspective with special focus on US Defense business needs.

Basic Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 10+ years of program or project leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 8+ years of program or project leadership OR
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 6+ years of program or project management , OR
  • PhD in degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 3+ years of program or project management OR
  • 12+ years of program or project management in lieu of a degree
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • 10+ years of program or project leadership experience in capability development.
  • A delivery focus with experience managing and delivering complex projects meeting business requirements.
  • Commercial acumen and experience of managing vendors / external suppliers.
  • Experience in influencing and managing others at all levels in accordance with a role of this seniority.
  • Experience as an Engineering Manager.
  • Experience with CMMC requirements or certification.
  • Experience with the Azure GovCloud environment.
  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications.
  • Experience leading and working in a global business environment and managing distributed teams (including vendors).
